I attend various types of show on a reasonably regular basis. A pre-show drink in the sun filled bar, during the summer that is, always adds to the enjoyment. Nicely spaced and tiered seats from about row E or F backwards and a car park...More

Great shows really enjoyed Giovani Pennice recently. The Christmas Panto is always excellent. When booking tickets get the discount parking at St Mary's car park.

Lovely little theatre, makes the shows put on more intimate and gives actors who are so inclined to interact better with the audience. Very clean and tidy venue, friendly staff, not overly expensive. My one criticism is that in trying to cater for a range...More

Visited here for first time recently to see a Prince tribute act - he was really quite poor actually compared to others we have seen. Nothing wrong with the venue though. Intimate, comfortable seats, fairly large stage. Not much else to say - scored a...More

As always another great panto. Went again with the local deaf children's society. They have accommodated with subtitled banner etc before in the past. Can't beat good old fashioned panto at the theatre.

We visited the mercury to watch the "Turn of the Screw". Great small theatre, very intimate and we had great views of the stage, we thoroughly enjoyed the play, however, we still wasn't sure of the story.

The Mercury is a lovely small theatre, with a good view of the stage from most of the areas I have sat. There could perhaps be more seating in the bar and surrounding areas, especially for a show like this evening which attracts so many...More

Went here for the annual Good Friday service held by the churches locally. Nice and spacious venue with good acoustics and good views from pretty much anywhere. We sat near the back in the middle and easily saw and heard all that was going on....More

Saw "Pieces of String" this week, an excellent musical, with top class cast, songs and a moving plot, all cleverly produced by the Mercury. As ever the theatre is well managed, comfy seats, good views and good acoustics.
