Wow!!
Thank you for such an awesome review and it is always a pleasure to hear about the positive impact we can have on family holidays.
I shall pass on your comments to our management team and Toby will get the recognition he so obviously deserves for a job well done. He puts the rest of us to shame sometimes but the example he sets is a massive boost to all of us at Skegness Pier.
See you again soon.

Having just spent a week in sunny Skeggy from Derbyshire we went to the pier arcade most nights.
The kids love the games here and the little ones love the 2p machines.
We tried it all, great value and something for everyone. The indoor adventure and soft play is great for the little ones if you want a breather and good value. £7 for a 2 hour session for over 3s with a good cafe and plenty of comfy adult seating all with the peace of mind the little ones can't escape thanks to the security gates and CCTV.
In the evening the arcade does feel a little understaffed for such a big place as the 3/4 members of staff working seemed to be rushed off their feet and being pulled from pillar to post fixing machines and giving prizes. Saying this all off the staff are friendly, full of smiles and willing to help.
I got chatting to one of the staff Dave who was wonderful with the kids, nothing was too much trouble no matter how many times they won a prize or needed his help. He was super busy but even when the kids took their time at the prize counterhe was full of smile, conversation and telling them not too rush.
They say the staff really make a place and here I really believe it. Dave and the other smiley bald chap you're doing a smashing job and the kids are really greatful for you help and making it a brilliant experience.
I really hope your manager or something high up reads this and gives you both the credit and well done you deserve.
Thank you and because of you we will be back.

The seating area out of the back arcade is great on a hot day, to take in the rays, people watch, & have a cheeky cold beverage.
Last year they had a DJ on most of the days we were there. This year, they had live singers... and they were very good. So much so, that a quick half hour turned into several hours on a few occasions.
Drinks are a little bit pricier than some other places on the seafront, but then you don't get the views or atmosphere that you do on the pier.
What it does lack is good toilet facilities, both at the bar & in the pier. The single toilet in the bar is not sufficient & needs cleaning more often.
The toilets inside the arcade aren't any better, with long queues & in need of an update.
The bowling alley & laser quest under the pier are good fun & well maintained.
We regularly saw staff on the pier, & they never walked by a piece of litter without picking it up.
The arcade is massive, so plenty to keep the kids amused on those not so sunny days.
Overall, we've had some very enjoyable & leisurely afternoons on the pier. Definitely worth a visit (or two) 🙂

We visited with our two children aged 3 and 6 and we were really disappointed. We headed to the pier because we thought it would be a fun place to go for the amusement games...how wrong we were.
A lot of the 2p change machines were either empty or not working, many of the 2p machines were jammed or turned off. Those that did work, the money didn't slide in as it should in a normal game.
Even the games for 50p / £1 a go weren't working properly or were turned off.
We put £1 into a machine and nothing happened, called over a member of staff who opened it up and he just said "Oh yeah that won't work, this but inside has dropped off". At that point we got our £1 and walked off.
Lots of the machines that were supposed to be giving out tickets weren't. By the end of the visit, we just lost the will to live and left.
Please visit elsewhere and find somewhere that cares about you having some fun and enjoyment, this visit for us was pointless!!

If you like being treated with respect avoid Coffee and Doughnuts on the pier.
It is ran by a rude and passive aggressive woman who charges £1.50 for 2 Doughnuts and £4 for 5. When you ask if you can have 4 Doughnuts because it works out cheaper she gets snotty with you, refuses to change your order, blames CCTV and says "that's the price I have to charge I'm being watched" then says "do you want me to bin these 5 doughnuts? Or are you keeping them" lies lies lies.
Overpriced and rude outlet. Go somewhere else.

Since the revamp under new ownership they have stripped everything fun out of the venue.
It is now centred around an overpriced bar with live acts & kiddy things like a softplay & clip & climb. None of my kids are bothered about the climbing despite me bigging it up to them thinking they'd like it & who is going to travel far for softplay when most places have that.
Most of the coin pushers have been removed & there are no fruit machines any more. It's all about gambling to win tickets now...granted thats always been a thing but you're never going to get anything decent & it's a fool's game.
Mellors have ruined the place for me & i ised to spend hours at the place regularly but it's actually made me not bother with Skegness as theres less to do & it's not worth the travel time.
I don't rate fantasy island at all either & it's much less of a seaside experience now as there are cafes, bars & soft play everywhere.
Too child orientated now & not worth a visit for me.

5 out of 5. The pier and entertainment centres are well worth a visit if your young or old, on your own or with family. The centre and pier this year are going through an overhaul, however don't be put off by this, do go and enjoy yourself. The pier has a new bar selling various alcoholic drinks. There is a new climbing attraction for the family to use. There is the Captain Kid Cafe which does a good choice of food and drink at reasonable prices. The toilets are the area that needs improvement. Despite being checked every hour I found soap dispensing boxes empty and hand dryers not working! Not impressed during covid. Plans are for the pier to be extended, if this happens I will be very happy indeed.

A plain pier accessed through a large amusement arcade.
The town of Skegness full of skeggies, in other words overweight chavs and mobility scooters,
All the public loos in the town cost 40p.

Bought unlimited wrist bands for 3 children. Had to wait 10min to collect wristbands as staff member wasn't allowed to process them.. then 3rd one didn't scan immediately after issue told just to show reciept which wasn't printed well staff members questioning it wouldn't replace.
Won £3 on bingo machine but machine displayed a payout fault, 2 engineers attended didn't even attempt to fix said they can't fix that so I said what about the money they owe me , they said someone will bring it down in a min 30min later still no money asked for manager told to wait for manager again. Manager didn't turn up a engineer did said not his fault he has been in a meeting! He then fixed machine before giving me the money.
Boys went to bowling the staff members said they will be with them shortly . Then the staff went and played bowling after 10min my boys walked off.
Whole place is disorganised.

We arrived at 5pm and entered via the disabled / ramped access at the side of the pier through the arcade. We walked to the back to go onto the pier itself. Nothing on the pier was open but this could have been the time.
We walked to the edge of the pier and it was nice to see the sea, clean beach ect.
We walked back into the arcade where we played 5 goes on a small crane machine, I put in another £1 for 5 goes and a employee walked passed us to tell us they were closing. I looked at my husband and we were both in shock. This is the week before May half term? Closing before 5.30pm just didn’t seem right?!
We made our way back through the arcade to the ramped exit & on the way we passed a few members of staff who looked at us & looked their watches & rolled their eyes.
Still can’t believe they closed so early, is this normal? We do not know, just be aware when visiting, maybe go earlier 😊
