Interesting festival, taste and buy lots of chilli products and can buy a variety of chilli plants. Explore the grounds, lake and gardens and have fun watching the chilli eating competition.

I was there for the Chilli Festival and what a beautiful place! So many great exhibitors with very tasty products. Lovely gardens and I would happily come back to see the place properly. Definitely a must visit for anyone looking to do things in Hertfordshire.

It was wonderful to see how the skilful Bennington gardeners have changed and developed this lovely space! Car parking was easy, and the TeaRoom was once again a great experience with the atmosphere of the 1950s and a very English tea set - and amazing...More

Bennington's gardens surround a Georgian house and very ruined castle. If the house looks oddly familiar its because its often used on TV. It is one of very few places now where the countryside around it does not have the clutter of modern life -...More

Beautiful drifts of snowdrops in a well maintained setting. The frozen lake & blue skies made for a glorious backdrop. Had hoped to buy some snowdrops but they were too pricey for me. Recommend the snowdrop concert s in the local church, the musicians were...More

Go every year. For chilli heads this is one you want to be at. It's viable for one day but the atmosphere far outranks some of the bigger festivals we attend. When its sunny the grounds and the quality of stalls is impeccable. The exhibitors...More

The gardens are not generally open to the general public. There are special events (like the chilli festival) google the web for their calendar ... (I can't post the link here) I hope this helps.
