First visit to the actual new premises having attended the Theatre in the Forest a number of times. The theatre itself is small, seating about 80, comfortable, in the round(square actually!) and intimate. The production was absolutely brilliant with fun from the word go. All six actors gave their all and they captured the tone of Wilde's play to the... More

Went to the performance of importance of being Ernest. It was simply brilliant. My first time at the theatre and seeing the production company. It is a small and intimate but beautiful location. Being sat within the space and the way the actors worked the space and the script included the audience making you feel part of the production. The... More

We saw the Christmas show, treasure island,it is a very small theatre with seating on 3 sides. There were only a cast of 3, so they really multitasked. It was good fun and worth a visit. I believe they do a lot of good work with disable people so great.

Gates open at 6 for collection of tickets. Then you proceed into the forest…..A truly wonderful setting, with a separate seating area for drinks, picnic, there s also a bar to purchase a cheeky glass of wine to enjoy whilst the performance is taking place, or take your own! Having seen shakespeare in Stratford upon Avon in several settings, I... More

We visited this summer as a group of adults for a birthday - saw The Tempest. The venue - visually beautiful, just so great, surrounded by beautiful woodland, good facilities, well thought out outside theatre - ample staff, toilets, bar. Decent seats (though not a lot of room). You can bring your own food and drink, which is tricky to... More

We had another wonderful night with Red Rose, The Tempest was put on at Jimmy's Farm (which has an amazing outdoor venue space) the show was brilliant, loads of fun, we all enjoyed it from our 3yr and 6yr olds all the way up. Well done Red Rose, another great show!

This is a must do for anyone who has a spare evening in July or August. Tickets are very reasonably priced and the theatre itself is small and intimate. This is an excellent way of bring Shakespeare to life... there is so much going on and the incredible skill of the actors makes it veey easy to follow the story.... More

We had an excellent evening here. A fantastic setting and we were lucky enough to have good weather but came prepared with plenty of layers in case it turned chilly. The cast of five put on an excellent performance. Excellent interaction with the audience, plenty of humour. There is an opportunity to have a picnic before the production begins. The... More
