We decided to go for a couple of beers before dinner and, being CAMRA members and fond of decent cask ale, were drawn to this one by its many awards. Doesn't look that special from the outside, but they probably had a dozen or so cask ales and knew how to describe flavours and tastes. We didn't have any food... More

Having heard many good things about The Dove I finally popped in for a pint with a few friends. The beer was great but the place smelt so bad we had to stand outside, it was a mix of old spicy food and sewage. Sorry, but never again...

Having not spent much time in Ipswich we were unsure of a decent pub just for a drink in the evening. A must for us is a good selection of real ale and real cider so we used the whatpub website to assist! The Dove Street Inn was one of only a few which suggested it stocked real cider so... More

I always enjoy visiting this pub. They have a selection of the usual lagers and Adnams ales, as well as lots of other choices.

A lovely afternoon with my brother in law sampling the delights of the Real Ale choices. Then we had the Balti Shepherds pie which was absolutely amazing, hot plenty of it for even the hungriest of souls. No doubt still the best for Real Ale in town, and lovely staff....

Cracking pub with an amazing choice of drinks. Even better now that I realise that they show all the sporting events on sky and bt. Good home cooked food reasonably priced.

Simply put there are 10+ ales on hand pumps 6-10 on gravity in the tap room A burgeoning selection of continental and craft beers in bottles Even the back row is well stocked with a good range of Gins. Food is also good here, either from the BBQ when it's... More

Had a great steak there which was washed down way several pints of real ale. Great selection of real ales are on offer and locals were really friendly. Daily newspapers are available if you fancy catching up on the day's events.

It's a fab pub. Brew their own beer, great selection on tap too. Although not so sure which are vegan or not now! I used to love eating out there before I became vegan. Veggie chilli being my favourite. But for a vegetarian the menu is great. Simple pub food done well.

Thank you ! We are always looking at improving our service and a vegan beer is already being researched into by our brewer. I am pretty much vegan myself and consitantly playing with new recipes. Next time you are in ask for any other vegan dishes available as I usually have other options, and we looking forward to expanding our... More
