Lets be clear, this is not the place to go for a romantic evening, first date, fine dining or treat for the missus. It is located in an area of Ipswich that feels distinctly tricky in the evenings and you may have to play British...More

St Jude's is by far my favorite pub in Ipswich and one of the nicest ones I've ever been to. The atmosphere is unique, people are friendly and you get to meet some really interesting characters there :)

this is the best "proper beer" house in the local area- different types and you can try them before buying - they brew their own and the pub is a great place to socialise.

Great little pub. Super atmosphere. Interesting spooky decor, but unpretentious with it. Very much a real ale drinkers' pub, in other words people with taste! But everyone can feel welcome in this friendly pub.

I was working for a month in Ipswich. I'm glad I discovered this pub early on and went there several times. Have a meal elsewhere as this pub is not for eaters, it's for drinkers who appreciate a good selection of very good beers. As...More

Negative reviews are by bigots. This is the only pub in Ipswich that welcomes everybody regardless of background. Everyone is friendly and the beer is served on gravity. Highly recommend if you visit for football, etc.
