We sat in the main stand level with the penalty area, low down in the upper tier, excellent view of the pitch. Not much room width ways in the seats but legroom was fine for tall people.Attendance was 15000 and it holds 30000 so atmosphere was muted but both teams are mid table and very average football teams.Absolutely no hint of trouble for... The Stadium was very respectful to past champions with statues of Bobby Robson and Alf Ramsey. We sat in the Cobbald Stand which had good views of the ground and the players entering from the race. Surprised when the Stewards told us we couldn't record the game because I had a video camera out, not sure where he has been... More

The night started auspiciously, a statue of the great Bobby Robson points you to the hospitality door in Portman Road. Top nosh, the best I've had at football, three courses, 2, 4 and 2 choices respectively, decent wine, (you buy extra), and a convivial host in the friendly Bryan Hamilton. Worth a visit when you're in town, a friendly reception... More

Paid £24 for my ticket, which is a little pricey for a championship game. Stadium is good and family friendly. Very hot on safety. Easy to access as very close to the station. Atmosphere not brilliant as stadium not full. Food and drink are of average quality but reasonably priced.

Large 30,000+ seater Stadium. English Championship (2nd Division). FanZone before the match with bar, food and coffee bar adjacent to the Stadium.

We were on one of our 6 visits to see the Town play and we just love being in this stadium which is so family friendly. It's great to see a game but so nice to see many young children and families enjoying the game too. Just wish the Team could re-act and give us loyal supporters more wins 😉

Besides the... what you would call "football" (Villa fan, awful game). Cracking stadium, proper old school. Enjoyed being here, very easy to find, looked like reasonable prices I didn't really go to the bar to get anything though just saw it on the way past. It's a shame that when you come down the stairs and come outside the ground... More

I visited Portman Road Stadium as a visiting fan supporting my team, Aston Villa. It's a traditional old stadium with lots of character. Parking was easy, I used a public car park around 800 metres from the stadium. The area for visiting supporters is at the side of the pitch as opposed to behind the goal. Stewards seem well trained... More

Very easy to find, excellent home supporters but poor value for money. No food at half time, all that was left were 2 sausage rolls which the person in front brought ahead of me. £37 an adult and had to queue 12 minutes for the loo... I am not happy
