Now this cinema is in a world of it's own. Cineworld can't even compete. The prices, the seating (choices of sofas and recliners too is really special) all has a huge amount of leg room, and the food/drink on offer is great too. More importantly,...More

Visited the Empire Cinema at Ipswich for the first time. My wife and I were extremely impressed with it, in Terms of location, lay-out and general comfort. I understand that there maybe up to 14 screens, each having a range of different standards of seating:...More

Went to see a film at the Empire Ipswich today. It happened to be in screen 9 which we hadn't used before. One of us is in a wheelchair. When we got to our seats they were so close to the enormous screen that we...More

I paid my very first visit to the Empire cinema today and found it was a very pleasant experience. Loved the small and cosy room with very comfy seating. The sound was good too. My only complaint was, I found the air conditioning a bit...More

We saw Blade Runner 2049 at the Impact Luxe (screen 1). This is their biggest screen and the screen was huge - it appeared bigger than the Ipswich Cineworld IMAX screen when sitting in the centre of each cinema. The video quality was good but...More

I come here every weekend with my daughter, the drinks are usual cinema prices but the choice of films and the quality of the seats are amazing 👌🏻

This is a real mixed bag of a new cinema. The seating, screens and pricing are all excellent and a much needed alternative to the overpriced Cineworld in town. Sadly the customer service and organisation doesn't seem to match the facilities. We've visited the Empire...More

You can buy them there also but just bare in mind that if it is a new/popular film there might not be many seats left.

Hello, sorry for the late response. Empire has a coffee shop in the foyer where you could have a coffee and cake before or after the film if you don't fancy popcorn. :)
