The tram was so busy that we ended up walking rather than waiting the 40 minutes. However we got the tram down in a bid to get back in the warmth ASAP! The ride was good and half way tram stop full of history information about the trams and showing all the workings. Unfortunately there was not enough time to... More

Great Orme Tramway is a well maintained vintage rail service to reach at Orme summit. With open air coaches and old wooden seating arrangement it is really a great joy ride in summer. Problem is if the weather is not that good, it can be a disaster. Overall it's a good place to visit if you are at Llandudno or... More

After having fish and chips at Fish tram chips (highly recommended by the way) we decided to get on the tram to see the beautiful views and get a drink. Wow it's bracing up at the top and I heard the tram driver say she still has to wrap up in summer but I loved it. Every driver we had... More

Recently went up Great Orme on Tram with my elderly and infirm mother. We were concerned that we may encounter difficulties with a wheelchair. No need to worry, the staff could not have been more helpful, they helped us with the wheelchair, helped us getting on and off the tram even phoned ahead at halfway station to alert next driver... Having been to the tramway station it was seven pounds per paying adult, and open from 10.00 am until around last descent around 4.50 pm. The trams leave about every twenty minutes and they get full, it's a twof part journey and look out for the leaflets in town for ten percent off. Helps if there's a few of you.... More

Travelled on tram way with various adult family members and 95 year old mother in law .The journey was cold for the time of year ,but the experience was somewhat warmed by the care of the staff who helped with mother in laws boarding and dismounting, and took great care to ensure a seat was reserved and the wheel chair... I'm privileged to hold the 1st ticket issued by the Tramway this year. A cable drawn tram runs from Llandudno to The Great Orme Summit Complex in 2 halves. It is fascinating to travel by this means, replicated in part by San Francisco and others. A cloudy day with an easterly breeze chilled to the marrow, but the views were... More

If you visit Llandudno you must try out the great orme tramway. A trip up the orme on a vintage tram. The tram climbs up a steep gradient to reveal some fantastic views of the bay of Llandudno.
