Jaeren isn’t a town, but a area stretched from Sola in north to Eigersund in the south. The most attractive about it is the coastline. I recommend ether driving along the coastline or go by bike(s).

Jæren is a quite famous part of south west Norway outside Stavanger. It is part of the 41km National Scenic Route from Bora to Ogne. It's characterized by massive windswept beaches, flat landscapes, stone walls to separate farm land, and surfers. It always reminds me...More

Especially enjoyed visiting this beautiful area where my grandfather was from. The beaches, the rocks, the incoming surf, the lighthouses, the sheep with accompanying bell tones and the colors are incredibly beautiful! It would have been lovely to be able to spend even longer just...More

We sadly didn't have time to visit this stunning area, thanks to the wrong position on the trip advisor map! It's nearer the airport than the centre, on the west coast of Stavanger from what I could tell it's an area of the coast with...More

A wonderful place to visit. Especially during sunset. It gave me almost the same feeling as driving through Val DÓrcia in Italy. Farms, cows and sheep everywhere. Driving the North Sea Road from Flekkefjord to Jæren (and Stavanger) is such a lovely experience.

This is a long stretch of coastal land and is one of the essence of Rogaland. We walk it regularly - for hours; and you never get tired of the scenery.

We were at Jæren on a surfe course and it was absolutely amazing. The beaches here are beautiful with nice pure sand dunes in the back. Good place to bring the kids, walk on the beach or learn how to surf.
