Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice place for photos and for relaxing, right in the middle of the city! There are lot of birds to watch and the flowers are very pretty too.

If you visit Bergen you can’t miss this park. It surrounds a small lake by the train station and has a lovely gazebo with flowers, green grass and lots of benches. Come for a quiet stroll or to relax on a bench and watch the people walk by and the ducks and swans in the lake.
The tram to the airport starts at byparken and travels down across from the railway station.

We saw the Gazebo at Byparken when we drove into town, and decided that we had to come back. It was a beautiful, sunny day when we did, and the photo opportunities were everywhere. It's a good idea to mix in some "chill-time" here with shopping and sightseeing; it's very photogenic.

Lined with beds of densely planted blooming tulips, the lake with its fountain and cool breezes sooth the weary traveler. Rest on one of the many benches under the shade of the trees, enjoy the verdant space.
We visited during the annual two week festival and enjoyed many free events at the lakeside plaza.

If you're looking for somewhere in Bergen to sit and enjoy the scenery for a bit on your visit, this park is great - centrally located, very well maintained and scenic. We went in March so the flowers and plants were no where near their best, but it was nice to see spring just starting!

Part of the city ... you cannot avoid it if you are strolling the city centre. Nice and green, but nothing special.

We walked through Byparken every day on our way from our Airbnb to the city center, and it was always a pleasure. From the charming gazebo to the beautiful flowers, beautiful architecture, and Grieg’s statue, there was always something to look at and take photos of.

The little park around the lake is right at the centre of things in Bergen wth the galleries and museums on one flank, the shopping street at another end the Light Rail terminus on the other. The bandtsand is awash witn flowers. A nice place for a stroll when the weather is good.

In summer always a lot going on in and around the park (when it's not raining... in case it's raining... you can go the KODE museums).

A nice little greenery in middle of the city, you can see it from the main entrance of Bergen station, so just cross the street and you are there..
