I recommend to take the cable car to the top and walk back, or opposite if you need exercise. Its lovely and stunning view from the top and really worth a visit if you come to this city in a not rainy day.

We arrived about 11:30 there was a long queue! If we had known it would take over an hour we wouldn't have bothered as we had been up Floybanen which is better organised. We had bought tickets by then. The cable cars are often dispatched with less than full occupancy which results in longer delays. At the top there is... More

Nice area to hike with a view over Bergen and surrounding. Put on your hiking shoes and bring water. On top top there is a lift and restaurant

If you ask people to compare Mount Floyen and Mount Urlriken , you will get different answers because you cannot really compare apple with orange. The walk on Mount Urliken is more of a rugged beauty compare with the forests trails and lakes on Mount Floyen. It is very exposed with no shade at all , and the trails are... More

We got the tickets from the tourism office. We took the bus that goes with the tour. In our view this was better than making our way there by public transport. The bus leaves from the centre of town and is every hour. Once there, don't waste time and just go straight to the cable car. Get a spot by... More

You can come from town whith a tourist bus or by a regular bus. Reluar bus i stoppin in the main road by the hospital and you have to walk from there. If you have your own car its also posible to park whith cable ride. Its not cheap but its possible. Taking the cable track up gives you a... More

Our hotel room was not ready and so we dropped off our bags and grabbed the bus to take us to the Gondola to Mt. Ulriken. It was a warm and sunny day in Bergen so we took advantage of it. It was a beautiful view and we enjoyed a few hours at the summit. We are glad we went... More

We took the bus out from the Bergen Harbor area, having purchased tickets in the information center. When we got to the cable car base, the line ran out the door and most of the way up the parking lot. We stood in line for nearly an hour and a half. The view is undeniably great, and I would have... We took the tram up and hiked down. This is a very challenging hike. Few switchbacks most of the trail goes straight down at a 45*angle. Very rocky and slippery and beware of mountain cyclist moving quickly down the mountain.

This is not a cheap thing to see. There is a double decker bus that runs from the wharf area to the base of the mountain. We took the public bus, because we had Bergen cards and it was included. You get off at the first hospital stop (south I believe) and walk up. Just ask the bus driver which... More
