And this was the first church we visited in Trondheim. It is a lovely old, historical church before moving on to Nidaros.

Originally built as a Catholic Cathedral, today it is a Lutheran Cathedral and the Seat of the Bishop of Trondheim. A stone church built along classic European lines with a vaulted roof. The Rose Window is magnificent and reminds me very much of Durham (United...More

An excellent attraction. You feel the spiritual awakening instantly. You will be awed by this 15th century building whose walls and roofs still look as old as new.

To pay AUD15 to visit a cathedral seems a little steep and when you get inside to find photography is banned just grates. We just happened to arrive inside as an English-speaking tour was about to start. The commentary was very basic but useful.
