if you are into old military uniforms, cannons, swords and everything in between, this is the place to go. Great views as well. Surprisingly low height considering how tall most Norwegians are !

I was too early to see inside, but on the other hand I was there alone and enjoyed it a lot. Good panoramic views all over Trondheim.

It is quite a hill to get up but the views are worth it. You can go inside the fort for free, the displays chart its history very well. Free attractions are not frequent here so it is well worth a visit...

There's a lot of history here, and it's totally free to enter here and walk around the grounds. It provides a nice overlook of the city (I guess that's why they built it there), worth stopping by to see.

Offers a nice view of the city. Historic fortress that only one time came to use. Today a place for visit and it also has a nice restaurant inside.

The hill is a 20 minute walk from the town centre. The are a few short slightly steep hills. The fortress has a central keep and grassy ramparts with cannons. The view is good. There is a moving monument to executed resistance fighters and related...More

You can drive here easily, and it is worth it for the views across the town. Cafes did not appear to be open in the mornings.
