Movik Fort was established by the German occupation forces during the Second World War and is part of the Atlantic Wall the German occupation forces line of defence along the coast of France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Norway. Movik Fort is a former German fort in a class of its own. It is of great national and European significance and is one of our National Fortifications.

You can read about how big this cannon is, but can't really appreciate how massive it is until you actually see it. It is amazing that this is still in working order, a great testament to misguided craftsmanship. A must see.

Go see the biggest ship cannon in the world. The barrel itself weighs 13000 kg. Many interresting things to see and a fantastic view over the Kristiansand area. Great picknick area.

Here you can really view the size of the biggest cannon in the world and the serroundings are fantastic.

This place tells alot of WW2 history, The germans build this to protect them against threats from the open ocean. and this cannon sure packs a lot of firepower. This place is easy to walk around and the guided tour is definitively worth it. Recommended...More

Second largest cannon in the world. Well kept, with plenty of details inside. Exciting for children, seniors and everyone in between. They could have done much more with it, though.
