Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Probably one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Oslo. Placed right next to Aker Brygge. Only new buildings, with special, modern architecture. Also here is the Astrup Fearnley Museum. It's a pleasure to walk around the area! Not to be missed!

Now if I was a young up-and-comer living in the fast lane of Oslo - if indeed Oslo has a fast lane - then l'd probably live in Tjuvholmen, the ultra-modern tip of the peninsula emanating from the tourist-saturated Aker Brugge area. But since l'm an old down-and-outer, it was still worth strolling the area for the humorous public art and creative outdoor spaces which included an elaborate man-made beach that looked to draw other young up-and-comers, the ones who needed to be seen in their skivvies. The centerpiece was the privately owned, Renzo Piano-designed Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, which showcases American appropriation artists. How appropriate. Otherwise there were high-end restaurants and shops should you want to give up more kroners than you anticipated.

Just a beautiful, new area by the water that provided us with beautiful views on the bright sunny day. Brand-new buildings that, from what I understand, are extremely expensive. Seems to have some really great restaurants.

A combination of wooden-concrete-steel apartment buildings, cafes, offices, beach, flowers and green lawns. Highly recommended!

The Tjuvholmen Island follows Akerbrygge. Just continue walking. One of the newest and most modern Building complexes in Oslo. Beautiful, I would like to live there. Even you could go swimming and enjoy arts and of course food. The dumplings place Beijing8 is a recommendable eating place.

This is a new area just past the harbor walk area with soaring architecture, stores (upscale) but also a supermarket for a picnic lunch, squares, sculptures and in summer nice plantings.

At first glance this place really speaks as the subject title says "Neighbourhood for the rich" However, upon reading it up, Tjuvholmen was Oslo's execution grounds. Was that where "The Thief" came about? Food for thought.

There're lots of nice boats and wild ducks to see apart from museums and architecture.

Glad to see that the development of this area worked out, we were there on a rainy Friday afternoon and there were people coming and going, eating at restaurants, enjoying the museum and generally looking happy. Next day we went by on the boat on a sunny Saturday morning and it seemed packed! The public spaces are so well developed, it's so clever.

Tons of restaurants, the sculpture park, the art museum, and lovely views of the harbor make it a great place to walk around. Plus, there is a little beach where you can swim.
