Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited during the Christmas markets. the rink was busy with lots of skaters and also a competition when we visited. However, for a christmas ice rink for the main city centre christmas market it was actually smaller than i thought it would have been.

The ice skating rink is very small and there is no storage for your other shoes. Frogner stadion one is better and bigger.

Ice skating on a frozen fountain in the middle of Oslo. You can rent skates from the cabin for 110k, a little expensive but you can have the skates all day.

This is a great spot in summer to take a rest with the kids. Kids can play in the water while you can cool your feet after a city walk.

But be careful: pick pocketters are active around this busy spot. Two people start chatting with you while a third one joins and distracts your attention from your personal belongings. Luckily we rejoined and the two of us after which they backed off (and disappeared in the crowd).

I took my 6 year old daughter here on a recent visit to Oslo. You can hire your skates for the day, and leave them in (and retrieve later) when you fancy going for food or a wee break. We were here in December and its just beautiful when the sun starts to set and the lights on the surrounding trees are lit. A most enjoyable afternoon!

Even without the ice this is a great park. Though the foliage was a bit past peak, it was still beautiful. It is certainly worth the few minutes it takes to stroll through. Great stop on the way to the National Gallery and there are a couple of coffee shops for a quick recharge.

Visited the attraction while walking towards the palace. It's a wonderful place to visit during the summer and I was told this turns into an ice rink in the winter. Must visit.

This ice rink is a beautiful fountain during the summer months, located at the bottom end of Karl Jonah's Gate, it overlooks the Norwegian parliament. Lovely for sit down or photo.
