Boats leae from Dröbak every hour and are 5-10 €. The surroundings of the 2 islands is beautiful with trails of a few km. The fortress was in use until 2002 so it is very well kept. Totally worth a visit.

Was taken here (by boat - it's an island!) and had a great time wandering and exploring. Huge WW2 significance - the guns are impressive Had great pizza at the harbour restaurant Well worth a visit

Right outside the small and cosy city of Drøbak, this old fortress is something to visit. War-history(WW2), often concerts and you can wine&dine too!

A perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon accessible by scenic ferry from Oslo during summer. Plenty of history with the high point acting as a speed hump to the German occupation in 1940.

The fortress is a central piece of Norwegian history, perfectly kept including torpedo bays and artillery pieces. We had a guided tour of it, the guide was a retired artillery officer and he really made history come alive. This fortress must be one of the...More
