Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This beautiful 150 years old building is located just opposite famous Grand Hotel at Karl Johans Gate. During our stay in Oslo, we passed from here almost everyday. On certain days we saw the people protesting in front of the Parliament. For tourists it's a great place for pictures. We were told on certain days one can go inside also from backside entrance.

This a stunning building right in the centre of Oslo - its doubtful that you'll miss it, buts worth taking the extra 10 mintues to take a good look. We learnt some of the history of the building.on our walking tour, which was great.

The Palament isn't majestic like other parlaments in Europe, from outside it looks like a theater more than a parlament. I would have loved to take a tour but I arrived late (around 16) and it was close. I spent 3 days in Oslo and every day there were people in circle supporting Ukraine.

So we went past this building twice and both times in grey weather, but it still looked stunning. Very vibrant today and stood out at the end of a beautiful park. I love the colour of it and would love to see inside but that wasn’t possible today, but worth walking past, and having a good look at

Adjacent to a park on Karl Johans Gate. Interesting looking building offering free tours. Unfortunately we didn't have the spare time to go inside. Other reviews say it is well worth it.

A fabulous building which you can see from Central Station. Beautiful architectural design and lovely to see. We didn’t go inside, not sure if you can, but I’m sure would be just as nice inside if you can. The grounds behind the Parliament are lovely to walk through and enjoy too.

The Norwegian parliament reflects norwegian culture. Easy to access and open for all. When closed you can walk all the way around it. And enjoy tours in opening hours

We were not fortunate to get a tour of the place. Our guide told us that December has no availability for those things. Too bad. We ended up taking photo shots of the beautiful exterior of the building . But take note that sunlight is only from 10am-2 Pm . That depends on what way you want those pictures taken. Just located on Karl Johan gate so hard to miss.

Be half an hour early before the free English tour or you won't get a space. One is at 10.00 and the other at 11.30 on Saturdays. The guide was really funny, you have to go through security as you go in. The guide don't only tell you about historical facts but also his opinion as a layman and some funny anecdotes. The tour lasts about 45 mins and security but 20 mins for everyone to get through. Kids will enjoy it too.

As you wander along the main thoroughfare you come to the Norwegian Parliament it’s a huge building and really beautiful. You can go right up to the door and have your photo taken if that’s what you want to do you can wander around the grassland sit on the bench nearby and the shops are just across the road.
