We did the free tour with Irina and it was a good was to see the main points and familiarise yourself with the city. It was informative but not too laden with information and our guide did well to manage quite a big group.

Firstly, it's a free tour, so one had to temper one's expectations.
We did an evening tour (Saturday's only), and it was a large group. Due to the speed of the guide, the group often ended up being split due to road crossings.
