The Vantage Point: Valhallveien, Ekeberg, second highest curve Starting point: Konows gate, Gamlebyen Distance: 2.6 km Incline: 120 hm Roadway: asphalt Several fine vantage points are found within cycling distance from the centre of Oslo. The Valhall curve is probably the best vantage point in the city. It is also known as the place where Edvard Munch was inspired to paint his world-famous painting Scream. You will recognise the painting's landscape contours as you enjoy the view from Valhallveien. Recommended route (from Gamlebyen): from Oslo gate via Dyvekes vei, Konowsgt to Valhallveien, stop in the last tight curve below Ekeberg Camping.

Thanks to Robert in earlier review for exact location. Very easy to find. The nearby Ekeberg Park has some excellent vantage points. You just have to search for them.

We had a really nice time walking and exploring this park. It was fun to take the cable car up to the park. We had a lovely; but very expensive lunch in the restaurant. It had beautiful views of the city and very interesting architecture.

Great park to take friends and family to for a walk. Wonderful sculptures to look at in a great scenery. Recomend the park for a picnic in a nice summer day, or a tour with the children for a great experience.
