We visited this very interesting small museum today on a snowy day. I was very interested in the very interesting history of Norway during WWII. I liked the simple but effective chronological way it was organised. Really interesting snapshots of aspects of the history of that time. I realise it is being renovated at present, but still well wroth a... More

This museum is Free! It might not be the biggest place around but is very informative and great exhibits to see. If you are a history buff, you need to see this. There are several old tanks outside to see also, along with a red cross truck. you have to see this in order to appreciated it.

Norway has a mass of history ,the WW2 part of their history is told at the Resistance Museum , the lower floor was under renovation when we visited and the admission fee was reduced. The Oslo Card includes access to all Museums and is worth getting if you are planning on visiting a few museums and galleries in Oslo.

Interesting place which talk about the Norwegian resistance, especially scrolls written in blood. Within the akershush fortress complex, so easy to get there.

The Resistance Museum is a small museum tucked away in a part of Akershus Fortress and is a fascinating collection of artifacts and tales of Norway's political resistance activity during WWII. The museum is a bit funky with collections of artifacts whose significance isn't always obvious until you read the fine print. There is a film that is greatly helpful... More

It's worth a visit if WWII still is one of the thing that you're interested in. Here you can get an impression how it was in Norway during the five years when the germans had occupied the country. Even though it's small it's interesting and worth a visit.

We came across this when viewing the Akershus fortress. It is small and compact and has lots of interesting things including newspaper front pages which illustrate well the lead up to the war. There are letters by Terboven and Quisling and several items used by spies for the resistance. There is a chill just to reading the names on the... More

If you are interested in WWII history, this is a great museum to get an appreciation for the Norwegian people and the impact of the Germans on their lives. Germans believed that the invasion was coming on the Norwegian Coast rather than Normandy. The amount of destruction the German's did while they occupied Norway is amazing. It will have a... More

Visited the Castle area and fortress unfortuantely the castle area was not open but came across this museum which was 3 pound each entry which was the cheapest museum we visited by some distance. Really interesting read a lot of information that I was not aware regarding Norways contribution in World War 2 would recommend this to anyone with an... More
