We watched the feeding/training of the seals, watched the movie about Svalbard and was inspired to go there, had a look at all the weird sea creatures and looked through the gift shop, which was nice, but surprised so many things were from Sweden and...More

I wouldn't say this is a "must" but it's nice to visit on a rainy day. It is really small, it doesn't take more than 1h. It is well equipped with baby changing table and elevator.

Definitely a higlight for our kids, they saw the sealions show and got to touch some animals in open aquariums. But it is a small and not so interesting museum for adults

We went here on our last day in Tromso since we had some spare time. It was nice and we enjoyed watching the seals being fed but there wasn't a huge amount there. The Svalbard video was interesting and we enjoyed playing in the children's...More

This new museum is not right in the center of town, but not too long a walk to get there. The seal show was entertaining. But we thought there were insufficient exhibits to be worth the cost.

I had limited time to spend at the Polaria, but it is not a large facility, so I was able to do all the activities and view the feeding of the seals also. Its main focus is on the marine animals of the North and...More

This attraction is worth spending at least two to three hours in. The two short films are rotated over an hour and both are worth while seeing. It was good to be able to see what various Arctic fish look like, such as a halibut....More
