I remember watching the 1994 Olympic Games on TV and the ski jumping. It was neat to visit the site on the hill above Lillehammer. You can see where the Olympic flame burned as well. Sadly, the chair lift to the top was broken so...More

This ski jumping area is from the 1994 Winter Olympics and they still use the hill to practice during the summer time. You can climb or take the chairlift (40k per person) or you can climb the almost 1000 steps and almost 40 stories tall...More

We rode the ski lift going down. Saw the ski jumpers as we came down. Also saw them from down below. It was great watching the teenagers ski jumping.

We couldn't climb to the top because not all of the stairs were accessible (mid April - it may vary from season to season), but even from where we were it was an amazing view and well worth the hike.

Start from the bottom and climb all the stairs for a stunning view over Lillehammer City! If you cannot walk, there is an alternative way to reach the top as well.

It was interesting to see this place, one of the sights of the happy 1994 Olympics. The jump is impressive to see in person, how high and steep it is. Our visit was enhanced by the story of the 16-year-old Norwegian singer, Sissel, who was...More
