Nice breakfast but highly overpriced

Went there on a saturday morning for breakfast. The portions are really small and for viennese conditions rather overpriced. It was really tasty though.

We came to this place several times for breakfast! Food was good! Prices are also good, not expensive at all. But stuff... I cannot say that it was friendly at all...

we were looking forward to visiting this place as it was recommended to us by locals. unfortunately this was the worst restaurant experience in our lives. The place itself was very nice and not too busy so we sat down and waited for 15 min. When the tattooed waitress finally came, we asked for an English menu and she straight... More

Chic place with an awesome brunches. Not very big, but cosy and nicely decorated. Long tables for large groups availables.

The food at the restaurant was very good but the service really ruined the experience for us. It was our waiters first day at the job and he was basically responsible for the whole restaurant. It took us 1.5 hours to get our meal which was just bacon and eggs.. The restaurant was very understaffed and this ruined our morning... More

If you want to experience the cliché Austrian service experience...? Come here! People very rude, almost aggressive and not giving a s** for anyone or anything. It looks cool, has a lot of potential but again (like some Viennese just seem to like it) not a welcoming place.

I'll keep it short and sweet. This is a hip place to go have a beer. The food is actually pretty good and they have a decent selection of beer. It seems to be pretty popular among the bobo/hipster crowd which is not necessarily my scene but it is fine. I used to go here regularly but got tired of... More

Me, my husband and my friend went to this restaurant last weekend for brunch. I was really looking forward to eating there after looking at the comments and seeing the menu. However, I was really dispointed. The place was really busy and I thought this is a good sign. It took 20 minutes for us to order our drinks and... More

We were on a citytrip in Vienna and arrived at Wirr by accident for a morning breakfast. We choose the weekend breakfast for 2. It was very well presented. Starting with a glass of Sekt and fresh orange juice, two enormous plates of different fresh ingredients followed. From bacon and eggs to fruit in yoghurt, aubergines, mouses, bread, etc... All... great value lunch menus (every day i vegetarian, 1 meat for around €7-9 including soup and desert). they also have a variety of breakfast offers. at night, the place turns into a nice bar. check out the menu here: http://www.wirr.at/v2/media/pdf/wirr_karte.pdf?PHPSESSID=97bb2ef5ddcb97a2787f815e4d622942

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
