If you are leaving the tourist area to see the Danube, this is a good spot to go to since you'll see both this church with a very impressive outside and the river beside it, across the road.

Go to find a hidden gem- Art Nouveau Sissi chapel (at the left side from altar) that is richly decorated with gold, mosaics and marble.

This church is located outside the city center, directly near the Danube. It has a really interesting and unique architecture, worth to take a photo of. We haven't gotten inside, though. There's also a nice park surrounding the church, but unfortunately, as this neighborhood hasn't...More

Its beauty is in its simplicity specially from the inside and the calm location of the church. Highly recommended for a peaceful pray and visit.

It was a Hugh church building from outside. When we visited inside is kind of empty. Just a little bite disappointed.

The Cathedral is an impressive building to see indeed. Especially from the outside and a bit of a distance. The interior doesn't meet the same standard by any means. Unless you want to visit Cathedrals as a hobby, just watching from outside will do

Off the beaten path we saw this church on our Big Bus tour. You can get off at the River Boat location and walk over. In very good shape and at a minimum worth a quick glance!!

The church is very interesting, although it is outside of Vienna's center. There are tourist buses that pass around it. I did not come in.

While the church is not grand, not highly decorated (as is true with most post reformation churches) and not old, it is a great visit. I am a churchaholic. I found the stations of the cross here especially interesting.
