Had a couple pints and got speaking with Chris the bartender. His knowledge in fine whiskeys is amazing. This is a small place but the space is filled with Irish character......great Guinness, Whiskey, and Irish Music.

We stumbled across this delightful pub whilst walking around Vienna and didn't particularly want to go to a touristy place. It was closed at first so we walked around the block until it opened. The place is fascinating with lots of artifacts on the walls. Great place to sit and unwind and have a few drinks.

Stopped in here on St Patty's Day expecting to get out of the rain and enjoy a quick drink before heading on to the next pub. The place is small and was packed for the occasion as would be expected. Excellent bar staff who worked hard to acknowledge each person and get their drinks out fast. Chris O Shea is... More

Had a good night in there chatting with Chris the barman and working our way through his extensive range of whiskeys. Place was jammed when we arrived around 9.30 but by 11.30 or 12 it was much more comfortable and our seats at the bar were perfect. Had good Guinness and whiskey. Think the local beer was going down well... More

When in Vienna it is all busy and crowded in places, if you want to enjoy a nice beer find your way into this alley and go inside. The pub is relaitively small or you can say cosy but there is a place for everyone! a nice excape from Vienna into an irish brown cafe pub. Just go there :-)

We had heard about the Bockshorn from a friend in Salzburg, that it was a fantastic little pub right in the heart of Vienna. The wall to wall swag makes for some interesting attractions. While quite small for the massive crowds sure to be there, the fantastic bartender Chris will make sure your never without drink. Between his personal banter... More

Prettiest looking pub I've been into for long time. It's a small place but quaint and cosy, pretty decent beer selection but the atmosphere was worth the trouble of finding the place. It will be my place to go to next time I'm in Vienna

Bockshorn is proud of the fact that it's the smallest pub in Vienna and why not, the best gifts always come in small packages. This is a cosy spot for a quiet pint with plenty of interesting Irish bric-à-brac on the walls and the ceiling to keep you amused and entertained as you sip. The high stools are a little... More

The only reason is that it is not 5+ is the smoking environment. (Many Europeans smoke and it is an acceptable practice). Such an an incredible place. It was the highlight of our night. Chris (the owner) is a gem. Such an experience. Go. Enjoy.

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
