Externally very impressive and wonderful on the inside too. Much to stand and admire. Better than the Cathedral and infinitely easier to wander around. The stained glass windows are particularly colourful and I wish we knew what they were all depicting. The late afternoon sun...More

If you are enjoying the historical center of Vienna, it is a short walk to the Rathaus and the Votiv Kirche. I am always intrigued by the exquisite architecture of European cathedrals, inside and out. The Votive Church was built as a thanks to God...More

Gorgeous little church not far from the Rathaus. Very nice surroundings, and great architecure which goes perfectly with it.

Located fairly close to the Rathaus building, this little church and the park surrounding it, is worth a visit. Unfortunately we couldn't enter the church because of a service but the architecture one the outside is beautiful. Another gem in Vienna.

Another breathtaking church in Vienna. IT almost looked closed from the outside because of construction but we found the entrance. Stunning inside. So beautiful.

Unfortunately the entire view on the church's front facade is blocked...since many years. Hopefully they'll finish the work soon in future because this church really deserves a revitalization.

This is a very impressive church, lovely stained glass windows, worth visiting just for these, high ceilings, excellent architecture. Nice park opposite with free deckchairs for a picnic.

For some reason the architecture of this 1879 church just off the Ringstrasse made a great impression upon me when I first visited there in 2005. It has the most impressive twin towers which dominate the skyline. I had not returned on a couple of...More

As far as I know, the latest is that very Sunday morning at 11:15, Father Joe or a stand-in says the Mass in English for most parts, but sprinkles in other languages in some parts. Also, St. Francis of Assisi Church, across... More
