There were six of us "lads" (ie pensioners) and all of us found this place fascinating. There's loads to see - aircraft, locomotives, heavy industry etc etc. Best to allow plenty of time. Cafe was good too.

We've spent almost 3 hours here! It is amazing to see so many things in one place. We looked at each exhibit and tried to do each experiment. It is the perfect place where a parent and his child! We would definitely return!

I am already fed up with technical museums, seen most of them around Europe, but it was really attractive for the kids, many experiments they can do.

We visit Tehnisches Museum with our 9 year old son. He was thrilled. And so were we :) If you plan to visit the museum, you have to plan to stay there from 2 to 3 hours. It's huge and a lot of fun stuff...More

You are right, the Vienna doll Museum has closed in 2006 and all its dolls were sold in auctions. The technical museum in Vienna - i am not sure, but I seriously doubt that they have dolls there. You can find dolls in Baden... More

Take the metro (subway) U4, as another reviewer suggested, and go to the Schönbrunn station. You have to walk near the Auer-Welsbach-Park, from the metro station it takes about 10 minutes to get to the museum. You basically... More
