With all the shopping and food options, Stephansplatz is the place to be. We found lots of places to explore in the 3 days we were in Vienna.

Surrounded by great historical monuments with great shopping arcades and is the centre of Vienna city. St Stephens cathedral is just within walk able distance from Stephanplatz U.Great place for a evening stroll.

now that the renovations for the Stephansplatz are complete the square is once again free of constructions sites. Very enjoyable view to the square and surrounding buildings, especially the Stephans Cathedral.

Stephanplatz is right in the middle of Vienna, it is the centre of the city and there is the cathedral next to the station itself Lots of shops and very nice area to be in. Coffee shops nearby do very good drinks

If you come to Vienna, this is a must see. Walking around sightseeing, eating a Frankfurter (Wiener Würstel) while watching other Tourists, Musicians, Dancer, etc. as time flies by.
