We stayed here shortly before Christmas and had an amazing view of St. Stephen's Cathedral from our window. Awesome buildings and well-designed architecture. You can get lost at the sidestreets but it will always be interesting. You must see the Bucherer building its AMAZING

Vienna made the smart decision to turn this major road pedestrian only. It is full of stores, food, people and has great energy. Cathedral is on one side, opera near the other. We were there on New Years Eve when there are free concerts.

This has everything you could need: restaurants, shopping, cafes, sights. You MUST see St. Stephan's Cathedral at night. It's breath taking! The Metro stops right in the center of this glory.
