Square itself is not really large, but it has very nice fountain by which you can relax. Also, famous monument to the Red army is located at this square as well.

Many squares offer little but the surrounding buildings and Schwarzenbergplatz is similar but also offers the wonderful Hochstrahlbrunnen fountain and the Soviet War Memorial. In Vienna, you are almost spoilt for choices in terms of buildings, squares and theatres, so this square would be very high in the list in many other cities, but in here it is another gem to savour, with some relaxing fountains and a very...More
It is very impressive, as it would be as it was built by the Russians. Worth a look and it is along a good route between belvedere and karlskirche.
The platz is dominated by the Soviet War Memorial and fountain. The monument is very much in the Soviet style and commemorates the capture of the city in April 1945. The fountain is quite pretty as well. It's worth a quick look and walk around.
Good monument built to honor the Russian fallen soldiers In August 1945, immediately after the end of World War II, the Red Army revealed the War Memorial (now popularly called the Russian Monument). C U Around
Huge monument, as Russians have only like those. :D A bit away from the city center. You wont miss much if you do not have enough time to visit. So if your trip is short skip this.
It is a large, pretty square with some very interesting buildings around, although the Red Army's monument doesn't quite fit well within it. The western face of the square is the prettiest I believe.
