Amazing, beautiful uplifting Arts and Crafts design, full of light. Otto Wagner produced a masterpiece. It was well worth the steep climb to reach the church.

This church in the grounds of the hospital is amazing. Its not open all the time so check for times. Sad history of treating the mentally disturbed but a wonder that such a building of such beauty is located here. Well worth a visit if...More

Located on one of the hills of Vienna, you can find this sensational church. Like many Catholic Churches, it is not permanently open. Before visiting you should check the opening hours on the churches website.

If you love Jugendstil or Secessionist (Central European art nouveau--think Klimt in painting) architecture, you owe it to yourself to see this amazing church. It's only open to the public on a very limited schedule and the one tour is all in German, but it...More

This is my most favorite church in Vienna, and if you are an architecture lover and have a soft spot for unique churches you must go and see the Otto Wagner Kirche am Steinhof. The church was designed and built by Austria's most famous architect...More

This is a truly remarkable church, also a bit of a challenge. It is only open on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months, as there is now no form of heating to warm the place up in winter. Occasionally there are concerts. Take the...More

For a church the admission is a little pricey at 8 euros per person. St Peters is a nicer church and it's free. Its nice outside, but you could skip the inside honestly.

As many times in life, there are more than on solutions: Public Transport: 1) Bus 48A takes you to "Otto-Wagner-Spital" and you have to walk up the hill towards the church. 2) Bus 46A or 46B to "Feuerwache Am Steinhof" and... More
