I thought the price of the tour was very reasonable. Our guide , Peter, picked us up promptly from our hotel at 7 AM. It was a very comfortable mini van. There were 6 in our traveling party and another couple from another hotel. It felt like a private tour. Peter was very courteous and we made a helpful stop... More

This was the most interesting tour I have ever been on and the easiest. They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel and this particular day we went to Salzburg. Robert was our guide and his knowledge was astounding. There wasn't a question he didn't know the answer to. He was GREAT, extremely smart and is very... More

Our first was to Prague and two days later we went on the day trip to Budapest. The company has excellent knowledgeable, courteous and fun staff. Both Mario (to Prague) and Rua (to Budapest) made the trip) It is a perfect size tour van with no more than 8 people. In our case we were 6 both days. Would I... More

We did day trip to Salzburg today. Rui was our driver and guide. Very knowledgeable gentleman. Wonderful driver& guide. Make it a great day and nothing was difficult. Would recommend this trip to anyone. It is a long time on mini bus, but the scenery is well worth it. We loved this trip.

We were just our family of 4 and the driver in the mini van, so basically it was a private tour. The driver /guide, Balazs, was very knowledgeable, spoke very good English, and was friendly and accomodating. We passed through the lake region on the way with stops at Lake Attersee and St Gilgen, where we were given some time... More

We were a family of four on the tour to Salzburg and were picked up on time from the hotel by Robert. We expected to be transferred to a big coach to join other passengers, so it was a pleasant surprise to learn that we were in a small mini van with another couple. It was a comfortable journey with... More

We did the day trip to Prague on a Sunday at the end of May. We booked it through our hotel the night before. Markus was our guide who picked us up (3 in our family) at our hotel at 7 am, in a nice, clean, large, 8-person Mercedes van. There was only 1 other person besides us who signed... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
