I like museums and it was not the best i ever had been before. I cant say I was suprised or it was something special there. I think its good enough to visit but just once.

The number of wax works is not too significant, I'll say it's just enough. Good use of props and you can also find some Austrian celebrities, like David Alaba and Conchita Wurst. What really annoyed me was that in some parts of the exhibition I was not able to be left alone as staff was asking if I wanted to... More

It was a quite entertaining visit. You get to see many celebrities and mainly Austrian historical figures. It is a bit expensive though but worth to see once.

the museum located on the edge of a great amusement park is a very nice experience before or in between the rides, very interactive and fun for adults and children both. there is an option to scalp your own hand out of wax, not very expensive but takes some time...

A must see when in Vienna, we received a discount on ticket prices as we had already purchased the Vienna 72 hour pass. Some figures that we were unfamiliar with as they are Austrian and not necessarily international. Friendly staff, most spoke English and a guidebook is also available in English. Prices were fair in comparison to other Madam Tussauds... More

I have visited Madame Tussauds London a few times, so was eager to see what Madame Tussauds Vienna had to offer. We really enjoyed our visit to Madame Tussauds Vienna. I found the displays to be very interactive which I really enjoyed. There was also a great variety of local Austrian as well as international celebrities.

We spend about 40 minutes in the Madame Tussauds Vienna and really enjoyed it. There are many to see and also participate to get really nice pictures. It is somehow expensive 20€/ps but you will not regret it

It was first, and so far the only Madame Tussauds I've visited in my life, so of course I liked it :-) I had a lot of fun there, but I believe, that if I had been 15 years younger it would be even more fun :-)

I was very impressed how real does the wax figures look like. The figures are about 60 and you can take pictures with them.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
