This must be one of the most photographed monuments in Vienna. It is a superb gilded bronze monument of Johann Strauss, situated within the lovely Stadt Park. The statue itself is framed in a glorious marble relief. We spent ages trying to photograph it -...More

If you want to take a photo of this impressive statue do so when there are few people as the opportunities when someone is not posing as straus with an imaginary violin are few. The park is impressive as is the statue and definitely worth...More

Beautiful gardens to wander through. The statue is a beautiful must-see landmark. It also serves as a good well known meeting point.

The Strauss Monument is a beautiful memorial built for Mr Strauss built in the park on the main ring road of Vienna, Ringstrasse. The monument in the park has a statue of Mr. Strasse playing the violin.

This is a "golden" elegant memorial to Mr. Strauss, situated in a park on the Ringstrasse. Stop for a quiet moment and "hear" his music in your mind. It's a lovely way to step off the elegant but busy Ring Blvd.

This statue is easy to look at and it kind of enlightens people looking at it. Worth visiting the stadtpark to see this one and other statues in the park.
