This offshoot of the Danube River flows through the city just north of the downtown area and, with paved pathways lining its banks, makes for a pleasant stroll.

We took a walk along either side mainly looking for murals and saw some amazing things. Of course there was rubbish and kids tagging but on the whole it was cool. Lots of bars on the side which I bet would come alive at night....More

Walked down from Stephansplatz to Danube Canal. Took around 15 to 20 mins. You can also take a cruise in the Canal. You would like it if you are interested in art, music or graffiti and so on. There are a few places around which...More

Not that interesting and a bit dodgy especially in the evenings but during the daytime you can find some very cool murals and graffitis.

I suspect slot of negative views are associated to the intolerance of anything other than grand ordered architecture when you stumble upon the Danube canal. In Berlin this would be viewed as ‘edgy, street, alternative....yet pretty’ For that reason I will chose to see it...More

I took a walk along the Dunube Canal in the central district of the city - up one side and back down the other. They've lined the canal banks with horrible graffiti, filthy pubs with filthy people drinking and smoking (I can guess what) and...More

Very expensive at 22 euros per adult and there is almost nothing to see. This is not a trip on the Danube itself, it is on the Danube canal, and it is very dull. Lots of grafitti on bridges and quite unattractive. Highlight was the...More

Did this cruise today. One of the most boring river cruises I have ever done. Poor commentary & little to see. My wife thought it included going onto the Danube River however it doesn’t. Best thing about it was the air conditioning which was refreshing...More

Coming from an island surrounded by water, it is hard to fathom living in a landlocked country - which of course Austria is. That doesn't stop the locals make their own seaside - in the summer the canal is lined with bars and stretches of...More

Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The

pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current
