The building and the frieze are spectacular. The exhibition shown during my visit was thought-provoking though likely of little interest to those who do not enjoy modern art.

Amazing view of famous Beethovenfries, you can seat and admire the room. Go to details, read the explanations, and look again. And that's all. You cannot visit the palace, and see the golden decoration. There are some other expositions but they are not of the...More

We should have read Trip Advisor! We asked our tour rep where to see Gustav Klimt’s work and he sent us here. We saw the renowned and impressive Beethoven frieze. It’s a shame it is displayed so high up on the gallery walls so that...More

The exterior of this building designed by Joseph Maria Olbrich is a piece of jewelry! But even more memorable is a visit to the room with beautifully reconstructed Gustav Klimt Beethoven Frieze.

The Secession is an impressive building, but got us that was everything. Downstairs, there is the Beethrovenfries from Klimt, which is very high in the room. Beside that, there is a quite small exhibition of contemporary art.

Beethoven Frieze is just overwhelming and must stay at least a good hour. May be disappointed with other exhibition but the building itself is a piece of art.

Yes, this building and museum are heavily under construction at the moment. I knew going in that I would only see the Beethoven Frieze, and I was happy I went. As a fan of Klimt and a musician who has sung Beethoven 9th several times,...More

The building is really eye catching from the outside and you can take good photos of it from across the road. It costs €9 per adult which is quite steep as the only hong with seeing is Klimt’s work. On the ground floor there are...More

I see the complaining posts that this seems expensive to merely see the Klimt frieze and one or two other exhibits, but the secession movement was horizon-changing in the intellectual history of pre-WWI Vienna. At the very least you should walk around the building, and...More

WAY TOO expensive for 1 SMALL area with the Klimt frieze (much is not accessible due to renovation) - a 5 minute visit unless you get the audio guide! Out of 5 groups/families or couples who visited over a 10 minute period, 4 of those...More

I don't know, but the line to get in is very short to non existent. Quite honestly I would go there first to determine whether or not it was worth it. the outside is much more interesting than the inside! Once in, it is a... More
