The Haus des Meeres is fantastic, so don't miss it. It has an amazing collection of fish, sharks, turtles and reptiles. This is worth the entrance fee on its own. But it also has the best views in Vienna and has a great cafe with...More

Our little girl loved this place, So many floors to explore. She loved the bubbles you could pop in and put your head under. I would recommend this place if you have young children to entertain

Came here mainly for the view from the top but found the Zoo interesting and a surprise. All it needs is a butterfly house

To avoid to escalate the stairs, you should take the elevator to the last floor, and start the visit. Here you have the terrace with a great view to the city.

Definitely worth every cent paid. Compared to the Schonbrunn Zoo, this is the total opposite. We enjoyed a good two hours walking and learning and seeing a lot of different fish and reptiles. I think that this gem in the heart of Vienna is not...More

Very interesting place. There is a lot to see (fishes, reptiles, birds etc.). Don't get discouraged when you see 11 floors, few of them are very small and one is cafe (top floor). It takes about an hour to see everything.

This is an aquarium in a 6 floor building which is simply rectangular in shape. It is actually an old WW2 bunker. You start out at the top and work your way down. The marine life on display is very interesting and there is something...More

We've been to quite a few aquariums, and they always dissapoint a bit in size and animal variety. But Haus des Meeres deliveres, both in animals (crocodiles!) as well as in spectacular architectural exhibitions. Plus the view from the top is amazing. Take your time...More

Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping
heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The
weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium
Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six
remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with
a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna
and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the
area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with

No, there are no dogs allowed! They have free running monkeys and birds, that´s the reason why!
