The „Concerts in Mozart’s House“ take place in the house of Mozarts first...

The „Concerts in Mozart’s House“ take place in the house of Mozarts first apartment in Vienna, now the monastery of the “German Teotonic Order”. Mozart lived and worked here for Archbishop Colloredo in the year 1781. The "Sala Terrena" with its beautiful frescos is the oldest concert hall in Vienna, where Mozart himself performed many concerts. The “Mozart Ensemble” will enchant you with a musical program that includes well-known compositions as well as great works of famous composers like Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Beethoven, Bach etc. By performing in Austria and abroad, the “Mozart Ensemble” has established itself in the Viennese concert culture and has become an “insider tip” for visitors from all over the world.

My husband researched concerts and choice this one above all the others. We booked weeks in advance. I trusted his judgement as he's a classical pianist. The day before we had visited the area on our Mozart walk, so we were thrilled to be back. Very intimate setting and most of all very poignant. The musicians were wonderful and clearly... More

Music is such an integral part of Vienna and so we wanted to visit the Opera House. However, tickets were sold out. So we searched and found this little gem! The venue was a little hard to find, and we went to the original Mozart House closeby, where they directed us to the right place and found it with no... More

Booked this above all others because Mozart had played and lived here. The room where the quartet played was truly beautiful. The concert lasted around an hour and a half. The musicians were outstanding and the enjoyment they displayed whilst creating beautiful music was infectious. Tip one, there are only six rows of about ten chairs. We could see perfectly... More

there is musicians advertizing all around vienna the plenty, this was my choice for a sunday evening entertainment in vienna. the setting in the lovely chapel room of the deutschritterorden in the middle of the old vienna center is lovely, the soudn was perfect and the four musicians played their mozart/haydn/bach repertoire with great enthusiasm, giving a lovely impression in... We thoroughly enjoyed the concert and dinner featuring talented Mozart performers in period dress. This was a highlight to our 3 night stay in Vienna! Highly Recommended! Reservations are a must!

Pleasant concert in a room at sub-ground level in a building where Mozart spent a few months of his life (not to be confused with the actual Mozart House museum nearby) The music was OK, but the prices were way too high for such a show

This is a tiny venue seating about 50 - now I know how many I could fit in my bedroom. It's a lovely room in a very old former monastery (I think) with beautiful decoration. The musicians are very capable and they gave excellent performances of two Mozart works - an early and a late quartet - a Haydn quartet... More

Great venue and not obvious to find at first. Yes it was for tourists, but the intimate atmosphere and history of the house and small number of seats made viewing easy regardless of price and there was a lovely atmosphere the night we went, which was barely above freezing outside! Four lovely musicians and seemed keen to impress us. Was... More

What a fantastic experience. The musicians were amazing and really put their all into the concert. Lucy Hall was particularly inspiring. The location is great, right in the heart of Vienna. The venue is beautiful and intimate, and the sound quality was amazing. The only problem with this concert was that I could have listened to it for hours and... More

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
