I have travelled the world and seen some of the top zoos, I had my doubts about this one but my goodness I was wrong to. The animals are so well catered for with space, the look healthy, it's spotlessly clean, the variety is amazing...More

Wonderful zoo, That is well kept, lots of animals, who seem to have a good environment for a zoo. Pleasant to walk around

Any zoo with Pandas jumps up in my book. Well laid out and you feel the animals have some space to roam and not feel caged up.

Really beautiful place. In a great location, would Like to give more stars but because staff at the food stall were pretty rude, it brought the rating down. Otherwise it is an incredible place to go, would definitely recommend!

I am ecologist and I do not like a lot the zoos, but in this case I liked. So, just a thing was not funny, the tipical show about seals just only for the turistes... I never understood why in the zoo is necessary it.

Apart from being the oldest zoo in the world, the best thing, in my opinion, is that the animals have enriched environments that look nothing like a cage. The zoo has many different educational and preservation programs and will definitely take you at least 2...More

Probably the best zoo I have been to. All the animals were really active and looked healthy and well stimulated. We saw the pandas feeding early on and thought that would be the highlight. However, there were surprises round every corner. The final sure came...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at Vienna zoo, the place has such a large variety of different animals and there are daily presentations for each (although the ones we saw were only spoken in German so we didn't understand them). Such a great day out...More

Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow
of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has
interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence
and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the
other half to discover the secret charms of this posh
residential neighbourhood. Sneak out of the gardens at
Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down

Yes the zoo will be open. I would say it would be between 10- 15 degrees.
