Good insight into the way of life in Austria in the 16th and 17th centuries. Excellent close up view of a small town castle. Nice bier stuben at entrance.

A terrific museum with lots of net resting artefacts that depict life in this area over the preceding centuries. It had great views over the town too. I particularly liked the model of the historical battle and the many different facets of castle life depicted. Worth a trip in my opinion.

Great views of the town, lots of well maintained rooms give a good appreciation of what the castle used to be like and the lives of the people who lived there. The weapons room is stunning with rifles going back 100s of years. Icy cold in winter so wear outdoors clothes.

Even though this castle isn't one among famous castles in europe, it can surprise you; The main point is structure; It has a good museum with several pieces from the last century, in perfect conditions; Location is also good, Fledkirch have not too much to doing, then it becomes the most atraction over that region.

The castle museum is impressive and educational. Information cards in each room in several languages explain the treasures on display, and give insight to how the room was used in various periods of history. Something for everyone - works of art, old clocks and furnishings, weapons and suits of armor. Really a highlight of our visit to Feldkirch. As others... More

It's a very interesting castle. There are lots and lots of firearms, maps, but also everyday items, showing the life in Vorarlberg in Medieval. You can also find many artworks. If you are hungry, there is also a big, nice restaurant. They make the best Wienerschnitzel in Feldkirch.

After visiting the museum displays and looking out the windows we asked where to find the best wiener schnitzel in Feldkirch. Who knew that they would tell us, "right here, come back in the evening." TIP: If you make a reservation, you can eat in one of the window nooks.

This is a great place, with building and display items from medieval times, and more recent - lots of firearms on display. The price of the museum is excellent value considering the broad array of history available for viewing. Well worth an hour or two of your time.

This place is fantastic. This museum has information in English and several other languages in each room explaining the rooms function and the displays. It's well presented and well maintained and the staff friendly and helpful. Totally worth visiting before enjoying a meal in the castle restaurant. The museum entry can only be paid in cash.
