We did not have much of a view due to the fog. But it was still nice to walk up on top and visit the animals which live in large outdoor cages. Make sure you get your parking stub validated for the 3 hour free parking pass. The are two restaurants on the top but they can be closed to... More

This large cable car is the easiest way to ascend the Pfänder mountain above Bregenz, with its fine views over Lake Bodensee. The cable car carries quite a large number of passengers, so space is limited and it can be rather crowded (read 'claustrophobic') at the height of the season. The ride is smooth and speedy, for those of a... More

The Pfaenderbahn is a cable car that carries you from Bregenz up the mountain to the summit, which is part of the Alps. It is a quick ride, but allows spectacular views of the Bodensee. From the top you can see Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Disabled friendly with parking near the entrance. Friendly staff and great views from the top. Ice creams and snacks at the top are reasonable prices. Great panoramic views across three countries

The cable car ride is a bit over priced in my opinion. Especially since the activities and wildpark at the top are pretty mediocre. Though older kids may enjoy the trampoline activity in particular. But, if your in the area, I would say it's worth it on a bright sunny day for the views if nothing else. You can purchase... More

You don't realize how high it really is until you take the ride up there. The ride up to the top is very smooth. There was at least a 5 degree difference in the temperature once we made it to the top. The view is pretty impressive. There is a small playground for kids and a cafeteria style restaurant.

This lift is amazing - what a smooth ride to the top. Our family of 4 plus a dog had no issues with this lift - we even shared the ride up with about 30 plus handball players! Really worth the trip - and the view at the top is fantastic.

Worth doing for the great view. I'd make a beeline for the cafe on exiting the car as the tables on the veranda have a stunning view. Nice to have reindeer and chamois grazing nearby.

We just had gotten off of a plane from Chicago and drove here on our way to Germany with 2 young kids. What a beautiful place! Amazing! The cost for the cable car was very reasonable as was the kid trampoline at the top. However, the restaurant at the top was hugely expensive and the cashier was rude. Too bad,... More
