Stopped to view on return from Linderhof. Spectacular, large lake against backdrop of high mountains. Rugged yet tranquil scene. Weather rainy, so colours muted. Didn't stay for very long. Would return.

A 40 minute walk from the train station at Heitterwang. Lovely unspoilt lake. Ideal for families. Nice hotel restaurant near the shore. Well worth a visit for the day.
