Easter 2017 at Mayrhofen. Great town but on easter lot of restaurants, bars and shops are closed. Skiing at Hintertux Gletcher is simply brilliant.

I have just returned from 2 amazing weeks in Austria with friends. I am 60 and for the first time decided to take a couple of one to one 🎿 skiing lessons. I am the biggest woos and nervous person ever.. but Spars my Bulgarian instructor was the most loveliest, friendliest, funniest and caring person ever and gave me lots... More

Mayrhofen has yet again delivered another great weeks skiing legs are in bits, face is burnt and I am close to being broken, in short what more could you want from what I would easily consider the best ski resort in Austria. Snow conditions early to mid morning were just amazing, yes they became very cut up by mid afternoon... More

Great location for skiing: various ski areas connected by bus. Big skiing areas. Fast lifts and very fast gondola - 8 minutes and you are up at the slopes. Great local foods serve at the slopes and nice Apres Ski.

Great resort, fabulous views but the pistes just arent groomed. The doctors are rubbing their hands at 487 euros per ligament damage. If you like moguls this is the resort for you. We were very disappointed, and due to the lack of care on the pistes, this isnt a resort we will revisit.

Stayed here for February half term. Very busy as you would expect but the new ski lift has made a huge difference to the queues and time it takes to get to the Penkenbahn. Good choice of restaurants and hotels. Some lovely shops as well. Free buses with ski pass make it easy to travel around the local resorts. Good... More

I went to the Snowbombing ski festival in Mayrhofen with a group of friends, it was amazing. Breathtaking views from both our accommodation and from the top of the mountains. This was a full on holiday, skiing throughout the day and then partying all night long. I would one hundred percent recommend this to anyone looking for a ski holiday... More

We arrived in Mayrhofen on the steam train which comes through the beautiful Ziller Valley where Mayrhofen is actually sited. The town is well served with shops, accommodation and eating places. Some older houses still have little belltowers which were for alerting villagers of any dangerous situation or emergency. There are some very attractive buildings including the church in the... Our room for the 7 nights was adequately comfortable, clean every day, & the mountain view was breathtaking.
