This was a stop while waiting for the hop on hop off bus. Beautiful fountain or horse bath back the day. Nice statue and paintings also.

Located on the south-western extremity of the Altstadt on Herbert von Karajan Platz, this noble fountain and pond extols the place of the horse in Austrian history, with impressive equestrian statuary together with dramatic cavalry murals as a backdrop.

You can just walk up and admire the fountain and murals, backed by the mountain. Heroic statue of person and horse.

This did not disappoint once I had found it. The paintings are great and in good condition. It is small but despite this it is easy to take photos of it

Busy intersection. We came across it as we were staying on the other side of the tunnel. Worth a look and photo due to its historic significance.

Historic structure, worth viewing. Momentarily part of the movie the "Sound of Music" but the history is more significant.

Yes it's a beautiful piece of sculpture each horse is different. Only a short walk over the bridge to the market place. Also real horse and carriages not far away.
