Unlike all the churches I visited in Vienna, nice to find one that did not charge entry. Like most churches in Salzberg you only pay to view extras like catacombs or side museums. Impressively large interior with some information boards in English. Free entry to...More

This Cathedral is simply stunning. I’ve been to churches all over Italy, Spain, France and the rest of Europe, and this church holds its own. It is beautiful inside.

Our visit was marred by the sound of woodwork happening inside the cathedral so we enjoyed the architecture and the art accompanied by the sounds not of singing but hammering. It#s still a must visit on a trip to Salzburg.

Salzburg Cathedral or Dome is such a pretty place. It stands amongst an old town filled with history and baroque style buildings. Well worth a visit if you are around!

After hitting almost all the churches and cathedrals I see when in Europe, I was not expecting to be impressed by the Salzburg Cathedral, but... you guessed it! It was beautiful, and very large. Prayed for awhile, asked God to bring a revival of Faith...More

Please double check, but when I went it was first come first serve. I doubt there are reservations. It was worth going early!
