Views from the top are just amazing, especially if there is snow around. History of the fortress is also interesting.

Again I repeat: the one of the must Sees in Salzburg. Beautiful history, beautiful panorama to the Salzburg, & of course, to the Bavarian Alps.

Love the funicular ride up to the fortress. Great sites from the top. Not too much to see within the fortress grounds unless you spend the extra $$ for the tour.

Highlight of our day trip to Salzburg. A Must See sight! Take the quick tram up the mountain on cold snowing or raining days.

It cost 31 euro to go up and view the castle. It is a fair price. The view is outstanding. The guided tour is fairly short but the museum is very interesting. The world war 1 room very well done
