We took the public bus 840 from Mirabelleplatz to the Saltmine. Much cheaper than paying for a tour company! About a 45 minute ride for maybe 9e, cant quite remember. Bus drops you off across the street from the mine. The tour itself was pretty...More

The salt mine tour was very informative and lots of fun! It was actually like a mild Disney experience. After a bus ride to the mountain, we changed into our salt mine coveralls and then rode a train, horse style, into the mine. Once in...More

This is great tour. The mine goes deep into the mountain. Interesting displays show how it was worked and used before and after the war. The subterranean lake is an experience to see. It is very large and all fresh water. You feel like an...More

The whole tour was excellent. We especially liked the wooden slides down into the mine. They looked “scary” at first but were not at all.

Took the Panorama Tours Bavarian Mountains tour (minus salt mine). The scenery was beautiful but the tour was restricted to stop overs in two crowded tourist hot spots, where we were strongly encouraged to use our time shopping. Worse, the tour guide spoke continuously despite...More
