What a beautiful Cathedral. Every corner has a beautiful area that you must not miss. The altar is sorrownded by a cast iron fence. I thought that it was unusual.

Mariendom Linz is city’s new cathedral located on the edge of Altstadt about 15 min walk from Hauptplatz. Built with Neo-Gothic style architecture it is the largest cathedral in Austria. Was able to walk in the church briefly and it was dusk so the windows were not as brilliant as would be in the daytime, but they were still very pretty! Also the architecture was magnificent both inside & outside. Be sure & see this beautiful church if you are in Linz

With 20,000 seats, noteworthy are the cathedral's stained-glass windows, most impressive atmosphere.

Massive cathedral and you should check out the stained windows inside the cathedral. They visually explain the story behind the building.

This must be one of the most gigantic cathedrals ever; it’s the largest in Austria, though. French high Gothic style and the stained-glass windows are indeed splendid. A must see if you’re in Linz.

This religious place seats 20,000, it is the largest (130 meters / 430 ft long), but not the highest church (only 135 m / 443 ft )in Austria, it... More
