It was an interesting tour in the salt mines above hallstatt and the guide was really funny. More interesting and informative than I first expected.

It's a very boring tour and not worth doing it. Take the funicular to the skywalk and enjoy the Hallstatt Lake trout in restaurant BUT DON'T GO TO SALT MINE. First, you need to walk uphill for 1 km from the funicular station, then walk...More

It takes around 1,5 hours for the tour with a guide who speaks German and English. Mostly on foot but you are having fun with the 2 slides along the way. At the end there is a train type ride. Ticket price including cable car...More

This is not a tour for handicapped people. First you go up a funicular (a cog train) straight up the side of the mountain from Hallstatt. The view both directions is outstanding and exciting. Then you walk a long path/road uphill to the salt mine;...More

Great tour with a lot of interesting information that you didn't know you needed. Also gave some perspective to the history of the town/area and it's people/culture. And who doesn't want to go down a wooden slide into a mine!

There is a bit of walking from the cable car to the mine entrance. You may want to send them an email or Facebook message for more information and options. Enjoy your visit. Hallstatt is beautiful!
